This state park’s name suggests what you’ll find: a landscape so colorful, it must be photographed. Several trails take you to the park’s unusual “chimneys” – ancient geysers now hardened into stone. I’d suggest the Panorama Trail for a nice long walk (with some optional side-trips). As a bonus, you can spend the night in one of six comfortable cabins inside the park.
Location
Kodachrome Basin State Park is located south of Utah Route 12. From Cannonville, turn south onto Kodachrome Road/Cottonwood Canyon Road.
